Sunday 15th June - The Tamar Swim - Social swim
There are a maximum of 50 places available for The Tamar Swim on June 15th and you will not be able to enter on the day if I have 50 already pre-registered. To pre-register email me at barkerpab@aol.com and I'll send you details..........

This years' Tamar Swim will start at 10.00 AM on Saturday 15th June and is a swim of approx 1200 Metres below the Tamar Bridges from Saltash to England and back.
It is free to enter but a suggested donation on the day of £5 to go to Horizons Childrens sailing Charity would be appreciated.
High tide is at 10.35AM and we need to start promptly so please be in the car park in front of The Union Pub on the waterfront below the bridges by 9.15 as you will need to register and sign a disclaimer so I know who's in the water and, more importantly, that you are all out safely.
There is a very strong current here and also danger from other water users (boats) so to take part in this swim you must be a strong swimmer and capable of swimming at least a mile in open water at a temperature of 13 degrees without assistance.
You must read the SwimSafe advice here http://www.devonandcornwallwildswimming.co.uk/swimsafe and all swimmers must wear a brightly coloured swimhat (provided by themselves).
